Waste 2008 follows the tradition established by Waste
2000 and subsequent events as a biennial conference
which presents applied research, debates the latest
strategic planning & regulatory guidance, and provides
an opportunity to demonstrate practical, sustainable
and cost-effective solutions to waste and resource management.
Waste 2008 has a predominantly UK focus. However, the
technical themes discussed are common to all industrialised
countries and the conference has historically attracted
a significant number of international delegates and
presenters. The organisers extend a warm welcome to
all.
The conference is organised on a not-for-profit basis
in order to make the conference as affordable as possible,
to Local Authorities, Waste Management practitioners,
consultants, regulators and students.
Waste 2008 provides a forum for disseminating recent
developments, for debating current and future needs,
and provides an excellent opportunity to network.
